SRINAGAR: Seven people were injured on Tuesday after a passenger auto bearing registration number JK14G/2923 met with an accident at Kallaser Morh in Chenani area of Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said five of the injured were referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Udhampur for further treatment. The referred include a 16-year-old resident of Gharian Kallan, a 26-year-old resident of Nagulta, a 90-year-old resident of Kallaser, a 66-year-old resident of Kallaser, and a 35-year-old resident of Kallaser.
Two other passengers, Soni Devi (17) and Shavli Devi (19), sustained minor injuries and were treated on the spot, officials said.
Police and local authorities rushed to the site to provide immediate assistance. The condition of the referred patients is reported to be stable. Police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. (KNC)
