SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday expressed grief over the death of two Power Development Department (PDD) officials injured in a transformer blast at Budgam Receiving Station.
In a social media post, the Chief Minister said, “The tragic death of Mr. Hitesh Wali, Junior Engineer, and Mr. Manzoor Ahmed Dar, Technician-III, is a huge loss. Their dedication to public service reflects the courage and commitment of our field workers. We owe them our deepest respect.”

The two officials had sustained critical injuries while conducting maintenance work on June 13. They were initially treated at District Hospital Budgam and later shifted to SMHS Hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries late Saturday night.
Junior Engineer Hitesh Wali was a resident of Jammu, while Manzoor Ahmad Dar hailed from Khanpora, Budgam.
