Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday evening visited SMHS hospital and met Iqra, a student of Nawa Kadal College Srinagar, injured during student protests on Monday.
Sources said that CM hugged her and offered her a government job before telling her “you are like my daughter.”
A resident of Rajouri Kadal, Iqra, was seriously injured after a paramilitary CRPF trooper used his catapult to target her. She was hit by a stone on the left side of her head, created a contusion and fracture.
Since then she is being treated at SMHS hospital.
Students held protests across the valley on Monday against weekend police raids in Pulwama college, where at least fifty students were injured.
