Chief Minister’s Private Office at Srinagar received as many as 156 deputations and 1079 individuals from different parts of Kashmir during the month of April 2013 who projected their demands besides ensuring the availability of essentials in their respective areas. The demands were subsequently forwarded to concerned departments for their redressal.

As per a statement the major problems and issues projected by general public were concerned with the resumption of power supply, restoration of transmission lines due to snowfall in far flung areas, incessant rains in the Kashmir, restoration of drinking water, dewatering of water logged roads, lanes and villages, extreme poverty cases and other day to day related issues and problems.

The Chief Minister’s Private Office also provided counselling and awareness to the people seeking financial assistance for setting of their income generating units, besides poverty alleviation, welfare and rehabilitation programmes launched by the Government for the benefit and upliftment of the people.
