Ladakh in Kashmir region of Jammu and Kashmir continues to be gripped in cold wave, while as night temperatures dipped further at most places with Srinagar recording a low of minus 2.9 degrees Celsius.

Leh recorded the night’s lowest temperature at minus 11.3 degrees Celsius while Neighbouring Kargil recorded a minimum temperature of minus 7.4, Met office said.

Srinagar, the summer capital of the state recorded a low of minus 2.9 – three degrees below normal while Jammu, winter capital, recorded a low of 8.4 degrees Celsius—two degrees below normal.

The twin hill resorts of Pahalgam and Gulmarg in southern and northern Kashmir recorded a minimum temperature of minus 5.4 and minus 3.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
