The present and former Ministers of National Conference in a joint statement have threatened legal action against former chief of Indian army General V.K.Singh in case the later did not reveal the names of the Ministers who according to Singh received money from the Army.
National Conference Provincial president for Kashmir region, Nasir Aslam Wani Tuesday displayed the press release duly signed by all the incumbent and former ministers of the party urging General Singh to come with the names of those ministers who received money from the Army.
They demanded that the General shoul come out with names of all the alleged recipients of money from the Army.
“We have never ever compromised the integrity of the offices we have held and have never received any money from the Army as alleged by the General. Hence, V.K.Singh’s generalized remarks are absurd and far from any truth,” Nasir Aslam wani said adding that all the ministers and former ministers have signed the press release on the directions of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Wani said that if the former Army Chief doesn’t come out with facts, “we all will deem his accusations and allegations as defaming us with malafide and malicious intent and hence we will be compelled to take legal course of action,” he said.
While replying to a question, Wani said that Ghulam Hassan Mir is not a member of NC and, “we leave it up to his conscience whether he would resign from his berth or not,” he said
