SRINAGAR: India on Thursday condemned recent Houthi attacks on two airports in Saudi Arabia that killed three people and injured 36 others, saying attacks on civilian infrastructure were unacceptable.
The Ministry of External Affairs said the attacks had targeted Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh over the past few days.
The ministry expressed condolences to the families of those killed and wished the injured a speedy recovery. It also conveyed solidarity with the people and government of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said on Wednesday that three people were killed and 36 injured in attacks on the two airports on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said late Wednesday that it had destroyed 82 Houthi military targets across four provinces.
The conflict in Yemen dates back to September 2014, when the Houthis seized the capital, Sanaa, and several provinces. A Saudi-led coalition intervened in March 2015 in support of the internationally recognised government.
