Condemning the communal clashes in Kishtwar, Congress leaders of the area  have appealed the general public to maintain peace and communal harmony.

Congress said that, this act of the communal violence is against the humanity and such bad elements are trying to divide the nation on communal basis. They appealed to the Government to take strict and Strong action against the culprits.

Amid growing fissures in the coalition, the Leaders demanded MOS Home Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo (who is also a local MLA) to step down from Ministry on moral grounds. They said had Kitchloo adopted pro active approach and came on to the streets in the first hour to appeal to people who were indulging in rioting the situation would not have gone from bad to worse. Ironically, he could not gather enough courage and failed to lead from the front and failed his constituency people.

Congress leaders also dare Chief minister Omar Abdullah and said CM J&K is extremely busy on his tweet and is either batting for Mr. Parveez Rasool’s (J&K cricketer) inclusion in the Indian Cricket Team by showing his resentment and wasting his precious time by escaping from his responsibilities or other related amusements.

Congress express their anger, fear and utter disappointment about the callous attitude of the National conference leadership and their approach in demanding cum misleading the Central government regarding the special package for the effected people of Chenab valley but at the same are hoping the justice because of the continuous efforts of G M Saroori MLA Inderwal might help in opening the eyes of the deaf government.

Meanwhile BJP state chief Jugal Kishore Sharma in a statement said, “Kitchloo is responsible for Communal clash in Kishtwar. He is behind this incident. He should be sacked and arrested”.

BJP blamed the government and the Deputy Home Minister for not allowing Army to take over such a sensitive situation when police had failed to deal with it.
