The JK Congress made this statement a day after a massive youth protest, led by incumbent Member of Parliament Aga Ruhullah Mehdi, was held outside the Chief Minister’s residence.

In a post on X, Congress leader and Bandipora MLA, Nizamuddin Bhat, as reported by the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), emphasised the need for justice for the deprived classes under the reservation policy.

“It seems that the cry for a review and rationalisation of the reservation policy is being underplayed. The longer the delay, the more intractable the problem will become. The deprived classes deserve justice before it is too late,” Bhat wrote on X. (KNO)
