SRINAGAR: The mother of Hilal Ahmad Dar, a contractor from Ram Bagh, Srinagar, passed away during the intervening night of March 28 and 29. She had been suffering from serious diabetic complications and had been unwell for the past year. She was more than 80 years of age.
Family sources said she stopped responding late last night and was rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared her ‘brought dead’. She was laid to rest at the family’s ancestral graveyard in Margharmal Bagh.
She is survived by three sons, including Hilal Ahmad Dar, and three daughters. Her eldest daughter, a US citizen, could not reach home in time to attend the funeral.
Family sources said the condolences will be received at their Rambagh Home, behind Zam Zam Hotel, for three days, and the fourth day will be observed at their graveyard at around 2:30 pm.
