Jammu and Kashmir Contractors Central Coordination Committee led by Farooq Ahmad called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here on Thursday and presented him a memorandum of demands.

Minister for R&B, Abdul Majid Wani and Legislator Nasir Aslam Wani were also present in the meeting.

The Chief Minister gave patient hearing to the deputation and said that their genuine demands would be given due consideration.

The deputation raised the issue of abolishing of W.D.C bill system and double taxation. They also demanded review in e-tendering pattern and agreements being signed by the Works Department and the contractors. Matters pertaining to release of liabilities were also discussed in the meeting besides other issues.
