SRINAGAR: A police personnel died of a suspected cardiac arrest at the Police Control Room (PCR) in Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
An official stated that the officer, posted with the IR 6th Battalion at PCR Srinagar, was found unconscious in his room. He was immediately taken to the PCR hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. “The preliminary cause of death appears to be cardiac arrest,” the official added.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Barri, son of Biru Gujjar from Doda. His body has been kept at the PCR mortuary for medico-legal formalities. (KNO)
