SRINAGAR: A police personnel was critically injured in a firing incident on the Kokernag side road in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday, officials said.
The injured policeman was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is stated to be critical, official sources said.
Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the attackers.
