Eleven samples collected for Covid-19 diagnosis have tested positive at the Government Medical College led laboratory, official sources said. With this, the total number of positive cases reported today has reached 27.

The hospital has collected 280 fresh samples for the tests on Sunday, April 26.

An official said 564 samples had been tested at the laboratory in 24 hours and 188 more samples were under process when this report was filed.

He said among 11 patients, nine positive cases are from Anantnag district and two patients from Srinagar.

Being Covid-19 Positive

Earlier 16 samples collected for Covid-19 diagnosis have tested positive at SKIMS laboratory.

Of the positive cases, officials said, eight are from Bandipora district, seven from Baramulla district and one from district Kupwara.

“Update- Total cases now 523. But dont let this number daunt you.This includes 137 recoveries too. Total Active positive cases are 380. We will keep doing aggressive testing and strict containment. Coronavirus: 16 More Test Positive, Tally Reaches 512

As of now, J&K has reported 523 cases, out of which 466 were in Kashmir and 57 in Jammu. Six have died, while 137 recovered. More than 66977 people have been kept under surveillance.
