SRINAGAR: As many as 19 samples that were diagnosed for Covid-19 at the SKIMS laboratory have turned positive,  officials said.

An official told Kashmir Life that 19 persons have been tested positive for COVID19 at the SKIMS laboratory.

“Of the 19 new cases, 12 are from Srinagar, two are from Kupwara, four from Kulgam and one from Baramulla,” he said. “We are in the process of getting the details of the individuals.”

He said 1090 samples had been tested at the lab in 24 hours out of which 1071 samples have turned negative.

He added that 862 samples have tested positive and 51337 samples have tested negative at SKIMS till date.

As of now, J&K has reported 2183 cases, out of which 1280 are Active Positive, 875 have recovered and 28 have died; 03 in Jammu division and 25 in Kashmir division.
