As many as 30 persons have tested positive in Kashmir on Wednesday, taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 823.

An official said that 23 samples have tested positive at CD hospital, seven at tested positive at SKIMS laboratory.

“Of the 30 new cases, fifteen from Budgam, three are from Anantnag, three from Ganderbal, five from Kulgam, 3 from Srinagar, one from Baramulla district,” he said.

He said all the new cases have contact history with earlier positive cases.

Dr Saleem Khan nodal officer COVID19 at GMC Srinagar said that three persons from Super Speciality Hospital including one admitted patient who is the father of deceased COVID positive patient from Hawal Alamgari Bazar Srinagar and his relative who’s attending this patient tested positive.

He said one staff (sanitary attendant) of Super Speciality Hospital Shireen Bagh has also tested positive.

A total of twenty-three samples have tested positive at CD Hospital lab in the past 24 hours. Dr Khan said 834 samples have been tested at the lab in one day.
