As many as six samples that were diagnosed for Covid-19 at the SKIMS laboratory have turned positive,  sources said. With two from GMC laboratory, the total number of Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday is 8.

An official told Kashmir Life that six persons have been tested positive for COVID19 at SKIMS.

He said among the fresh cases, five are from Bandipora and one is from Beerwah Budgam

He added that 181 samples have tested positive and 2693 samples have tested negative at SKIMS till date.

SKIMS and GMC laboratories have been given clear areas to work as far as testing is concerned. GMC laboratory is tackling the capital city and the south Kashmir entirely. The SKIMS laboratory is mandated to manage Ganderbal, Budgam and the north Kashmir.

Earlier two patients from south Kashmir have tested positive at CD hospital Srinagar.

As of now, J&K has reported 341 cases, of which 294 are Active Positive, 42 have recovered and 05 have died.
