Department of Agriculture Kashmir decided to donate one days’ salary of all employees to COVID 19 fund.
The decision was taken in an emergency meeting called by Director Agriculture Kashmir Altaf Aijaz Andrabi in which Joint Directors, Chief Agriculture Officers, Divisional Level Officers and Representatives of various Employee Unions of the Department were linked up through WhatsApp.
Director Agriculture apprised the fellow colleagues regarding the need for contributing towards the welfare fund created by the government as a gesture to be part of the mitigation plan being executed for the welfare of the people.
Andrabi said that in this hour of agony it is the responsibility of every individual to help the nation in its fight against the deadly pandemic caused by the spread of Coronavirus (COVID 19).
The director instructed all the Drawing and Disbursing Officers of the department to deduct one day salary for the month of March from the salary of all the employees and deposit the fund raised thus in government account created to mitigate the Coronavirus impact.
