Deputy Commissioner Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganai on Friday visited various brick kilns in Budgam and distributed ration among the labourers.
According to a statement, the DC visited brick kilns at Waterwani, Nasrullahpora, Gariend and Chandpora and sensitized the labourers on measures they need to take to contain the spread of coronavirus. He urged them to maintain proper hygiene at their temporary shelters and ensure proper cleanliness and social distance during their work and stay.
The DC directed the concerned that the labourers arriving to work at the Brick kilns must be allowed to stay and work in the district only after proper screening.
