The Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat, on Friday, chaired a meeting of officers to review arrangements put in place to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the district.

Coronavirus: DC Kulgam reviews arrangement, urges people to stay home

The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, JD-Planning, ACR, CMO, MS District Hospital and other concerned.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed various arrangements which have been already put in place including the functioning of 24×7 control room, availability of masks, sanitizers, essentials, the status of home delivery of ration, sanitation and fumigation of public places and another related issue.

He directed the concerned to continue the sanitation and fumigation drives across the district to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The DC directed the concerned to inspect the pharmacies to check the prices of masks and other essentials and take strict action against the hoarders and profiteers.

The officers of PDD were directed to ensure smooth power supply across the district by following the power schedule strictly so the people do not face any inconvenience.

Notably, the district is under lockdown and strict restrictions are in place to contain the spread of coronavirus and people are appealed to follow guidelines of health department and to stay home to break the chain of Coronavirus infection.
