SRINAGAR: As many as 25 samples that were diagnosed for Covid-19 at the Government Medical College led laboratory have turned positive,  officials said.

The hospital has collected 230 fresh samples for the tests on Tuesday, May 26. Now there are a total of 100 samples the results of which are awaited.

Dr S Saleem Khan, nodal officer COVID19 at GMC Srinagar said that 25 samples tested positive out of the 590 processed in 24 hours.

“Of the 25 new cases, 14 including three pregnant women from Baramulla, five from Bandipora, four including one pregnant woman from Ganderbal and two from Pulwama district,” said an official.

As of now, J&K has reported 1693 cases, out of which 861 are Active Positive, 809 have recovered and 24 have died; 03 in Jammu division and 21 in Kashmir division.
