SRINAGAR: One more person has tested positive for Coronavirus in Kashmir, taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 1003. With this, the total number of positive cases reported today has reached 20.

Dr Saleem Khan nodal officer COVID19 at GMC Srinagar said one more person has been tested positive for COVID19 at the Government Medical College led laboratory in CD hospital Srinagar. He identified him as a student from Okay village of Kulgam.

Earlier, 11 persons have been tested positive at CD hospital and eight at SKIMS Soura on today.

Coronavirus: 8 More Test Positive, Tally Reaches 1002

The hospital has collected 540 fresh samples for the tests on Friday, May 15. Now there are a total of 511 samples the results of which are awaited, said Dr Khan.

He said 655 samples were processed today out of which 12 were tested positive.

As of now, J&K has reported 1003 cases, out of which 506 are Active Positive, 485 have recovered and eleven have died.
