The number of COVID-19 patients in Ladakh rose to ten on Friday, after two more patients tested positive for the dreaded virus.

Rigzin Samphel, secretary/commissioner Ladakh affairs said two more persons have tested positive for coronavirus infection in Leh.

Among the ten who tested positive for COVID-19, one is an army soldier, he said.

Reports said that both the cases don’t have any travel history but they were in contact with the affected person.

With today’s results, ten people have tested positive in the Ladakh UT while four have so far tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir UT.

The total number of coronavirus cases in India has climbed to 195 after over 35 new cases, highest in a single day, emerged from the various parts of the country.
