Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said it arrested twelve persons for defying the restriction orders imposed by the government in view of the coronavirus pandemic.

A police spokesman in a statement said that officers from Police Station Lar have arrested 12 persons for defying the restriction orders imposed by the government in view of COVID-19.

“A case FIR number 28/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Lar and further investigation into the matter has been initiated,” he said.

Police have once again requested the general public to follow the restrictions imposed by the Government in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and those who are violating the restriction orders will be dealt strictly, said the spokesman.
