The husband-wife duo who were abducted by unidentified gunmen on Thursday evening in Arwani village of Anantnag district were released on Friday afternoon in an injured condition.
Reports said that the unidentified gunmen on Thursday evening abducted Mudasir Ahmad Makroo and his wife Nusrat Begum in Makroo mohalla Bijbehara. Nusrat is a sister of an active Lashkar militant Nasir Ahmad Chadroo.
They said that both of them were released in Arwani with bullet injuries. They were shifted to hospital for treatment.
An official said that a case has been registered and further investigations taken up into the matter.
