Students of Royal Polytechnic College held a protest demonstration in Lal Chowk. Angry protesters were raising slogans against the management of their institution and alleged that the management had extended the duration of a two years course by one year thus making it a 3 year course.

“We’re pursuing the Draftsmen Course in the institution. We were told at the joining stage that the course is of two years duration. Now to get more money from the candidates, management is telling that the course has been extended to three years”, said a student Showkat Ahamd.

“There is no accountability in the management and they’re using discretion for their own interests at the risk of our career”, he alleged.

Agitators asked the authorities to review their decision or else face agitation and boycott of the students.
