Baramulla Court has issued an arrest warrant against one Nazir Ahmad Malik of Saripara Budan, Rafiabad for fraudulently misappropriating huge amount of Rs.2523270/-.
Nazir, an ex-employee of the J&K Bank had fraudulently embezzled the money while being in the services of the bank. The Bank had terminated Nazir from the services of the bank following an internal enquiry into the matter. Subsequently, bank moved the court to seek action against the fraudster and recover the embezzled money.
Further, the court has restrained the sale/ transfer of property that includes his house and landed property. “The non-applicant is restrained from transferring/ alienating/ creating third party in the property described in the plaint/application till further orders,” reads the order issued by Principal District Judge Baramulla.
