Muslim League Jammu Kashmir Friday alleged that police have not been honouring the court orders and despite bail granted by the courts, their leaders including Assadullah Parray and Manzoor Ahmad Lelehari have still been languishing in the jails.

In a statement to CNS to Muslim League spokesperson said “despite producing bail for these two leaders police are not releasing them.”

The spokesperson said, “Assadullah Parray has now been shifted to JIC Humhama after tortured at Police Station Sumbal while Manzor Lelehari is still detained in Pulwama.”

The spokesperson strongly condemned the police action and expressed concern over their deteriorating health. “Such acts prove that we are living in a police state.”

Demanding their immediate release, the ML spokesperson said that arrests and detentions “cannot deter the pro-freedom leaders and activists from pleading for final resolution of the Kashmir dispute”.
