DeM asks Pakistan to be ‘Pro-Active’ on Kashmir Issue

Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Friday hailed the “pro-Kashmir speech” of Pakistan Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif.

DeM Secretary General, Nahida Nasreen, in a statement to CNS said, “Pakistan Prime Minister exhibited courage and boldness by saying it on the stage of (UNGA) that UN has failed to full fill the responsibility of solving the long pending Kashmir issue. She said that Sharief was realistic enough to say that the Kashmir issue is a responsibility of UN which is to get it resolved as per the aspirations and the wishes of the people. She said that Nawaz Sharief by equating Kashmir with Palestine did justice with the people of Kashmir and the whole nation hails and congratulates him.”

Dukhtaran-e-Millat has, however, said, “the speech and the boldness shown by Nawaz Sharief can fetch fruits only if it is followed by his high commissioners in all the important countries of the world.” “Let this policy have a follow up and let them put all the efforts to make the world aware about the illegal occupation of Kashmir by India and gain their support for the freedom struggle,” Nasreen said.

“DeM condems India’s ‘unjustified and illogical’ reaction to Pakistan PM’s speech,” the statement said adding, “it was based on the rigidness which India’s has stuck to for more than six decades. India’s reaction is condemnable, world leaders should notice that while Pakistan proves that it stands for peace India is not ready to shun its rigidness which has already made lives of an oppressed nation hell”.
