Dukhtaran-e-Milat (DeM) chief Asiya Andrabi, Nahida Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sofi and two others sent to central jail Srinagar by a court at Islamabad on judicial remand, spokesperson of DeM said in a statement.
The spokesperson of DeM said that a heavy contingent of army, police and CRPF cordoned Anchidora Islamabad late on Friday and raided a specific house and arrested chairperson of the party Syeda Asiya Andrabi, party General Secretary Nahida Nasreen and personal secretary Fehmeeda Sofi along with the two relatives of the house owner.
The spokesperson further said they were taken to Police Station Sadder and kept their under ‘inhuman conditions’ for the whole night. “Family members who come all along from Srinagar were denied meeting with them.”
She said at around 2:00 Pm on Saturday they were produced before the court at Islamabad where court remanded them to judicial lock Srinagar Central jail.
The spokesperson said police misbehaved with the family members of the arrested women leader in particular and public present in general.
