SRINAGAR: At least 60 CRPF personnel were among 145 persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. The fresh cases take the COVID-19 tally to 4878.

Dr Ghulam Hassan Yatoo Deputy Medical Superintendent SKIMS told Kashmir Life that 145 persons have been tested positive for COVID19 at the SKIMS laboratory.

“Of the 145 new cases, 60 are from CRPF Battalions, 19 from Shopian, 18 from Anantnag, 13 from Pulwama, 17 from Srinagar, 7 from Baramulla, 4 from Kulgam, 2 from Ganderbal, 2 from Budgam, 2 from Bandipora and1 from Kupwara,” he said. “We are in the process of getting the details of the individuals.

He said 2278 samples had been tested at the lab in 24 hours out of which 2133 were negative.

As of now, J&K has 7382 cases, out of which 2702 are Active Positive, 4585 have recovered and 101 have died.
