SRINAGAR: The ragging Covid-19 is creating new records on a daily basis. During the last 24 hours, as many as 47 citizens across Jammu and Kashmir were declared dead because of the Covid-19 complications.

The official bulletin issued by the Jammu and Kashmir administration suggested that 30 deaths took place in Jammu and 17 in Kashmir. Jammu town continues to top the list of the dead with 18 in a day.

The district-wise details suggest that Kashmir lost a resident each in Budgam, Kupwara,, Anantnag, Ganderbal, Kulgam, and two in Baramulla. This is in addition to 10 deaths in Srinagar alone.

Apart from 18 deaths reported from Jammu, the region lost two citizens each from Udhamour, Kathua, Samba, three from Poonch, and one each from Reasi Ramban and Doda.

In the last 24 hours, 3832 Covid-19 positive were reported. Of the 3832 people who tested positive for the Covid19, Srinagar alone has 1084 cases. Jammu, the other capital of the erstwhile state reported 504 cases.

In Kashmir, the new cases include309 from Baramulla, 291 from Budgam, 70 from Pulwama, 122 from Kupwara, 286 from Anantnag, 77 from Bandipora, 94 from Ganderbal, 221 from Kulgam, and 47 from Shopian.

From Jammu, officials said Udhampur reported 141, Rajouri 96, Doda 42, Kathua 120, Samba 137, Kishtwar 15, Poonch 64, Ramban 60, and Reasi 52.

Right now, Kashmir has 19171 active positive cases and Jammu has 11172.

Jammu and Kashmir has already lost 2330 people to deadly Covid-19 including 1411 in Kashmir and 919 in Jammu.
