SRINAGAR: The  Government on Thursday informed that 172 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 21 from Jammu division and 151 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 328590.

Moreover, 91 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 13 from Jammu Division and 78 from Kashmir Division.

Besides this, 79.70 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bulletin also informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 46 in the UT of J&K.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 328590 positive cases, 1617 are Active Positive, 322554 have recovered and 4419 have died; 2172 in Jammu division and 2247 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 14514120 test results available, 14185530 samples have been tested as negative till today.

Till date 3493494 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7594 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1617 in isolation and 461211 in home surveillance. Besides, 3018653 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 73906 positive cases (including 67 cases reported today) with 813 Active Positive, 72255 recovered (including 41 cases recovered today), 838 deaths; Baramulla has 24237 positive cases (including 36 cases reported today) with 162 Active Positive, 23793 recovered (including 07 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 23523 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 165 active positive cases, 23151 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 207 deaths; Pulwama has 15436 positive cases with 37 Active Positive, 15205 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14331 positive cases (including 01 case reported today), 30 Active Positive, 14135 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today) and 166 deaths;  Anantnag district has 16506 positive cases with 18 Active Positive, 16283 recovered and 205 deaths;  Bandipora has 9715 positive cases with 31 Active Positive, 9583 recoveries and 101 deaths; Ganderbal has 10275 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 83 Active Positive, 10113 recoveries and 79 deaths; Kulgam has 11475 positive cases 21 Active Positive, 11337 recoveries and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5605 positive cases with 03 active positive cases, 5544 recoveries and 58 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 53129 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 59 active positive cases, 51927 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 1143 deaths; Udhampur has 11397 positive cases with 09 active positive cases, 11251 recoveries and 137 deaths; Rajouri has 11154 positive cases with 18 active positive, 10899 recoveries  and 237 deaths; Doda has 7733 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 61 Active positive, 7539 recovered and 133 deaths; Kathua has 9290 positive cases with 02 active positive case, 9137 recovered  and 151 deaths; Samba has 7146 positive cases  with 07 active positive cases, 7019 recoveries  and 120 deaths; Kishtwar has 4810 positive cases with 13 Active Positive, 4753 recoveries and 44 deaths;  Poonch has 6344 positive cases with 04 active positive, 6243 recoveries and 97 deaths;  Ramban has 6015 positive cases with 08 active positive cases, 5940 recoveries and 67 deaths while Reasi has 6563 positive cases with 73 active positive cases, 6447 recoveries and 43 deaths.

According to the bulletin, among the total 328590 positive cases in J&K, 23403 have been reported as travelers while 305187 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 2005 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 396 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 2997 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 258 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 5002 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 654 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
