SRINAGAR: The Government on Friday informed that 261 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 115 from Jammu division and 146 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 318284. Also 01 COVID-19 death has been reported from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 304 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 115 from Jammu Division and 189 from Kashmir Division.

Besides this, 92.58 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bulletin also informs that No confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 31 in the UT of J&K.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 318284 positive cases, 3300 are Active Positive, 310630 have recovered and 4354 have died; 2125 in Jammu division and 2229 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 10501931 test results available, 10183647 samples have been tested as negative till today.

Till date 2528982 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7152 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 3300 in isolation and 266506 in home surveillance. Besides, 2247670 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 70569 positive cases (including 59 cases reported today) with 649 Active Positive, 69088 recovered (including 60 cases recovered today), 832 deaths; Baramulla has 23382 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 218 Active Positive, 22884 recovered (including 29 cases recovered today), 280 deaths; Budgam reported 22713 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 181 active positive cases, 22328 recovered (including 17 cases recovered today), 204 deaths; Pulwama has 14999 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 121 Active Positive, 14685 recovered (including 14 cases recovered today) and 193deaths; Kupwara has 13924 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today), 160 Active Positive, 13599 recoveries (including 14 cases recovered today), 165 deaths; Anantnag district has 16217 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 91 Active Positive, 15922 recovered (including 17 cases recovered today), 204 deaths; Bandipora has 9369 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today), with 78 Active Positive, 9191 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today), 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9719 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 163 Active Positive, 9479 recoveries (including 16 cases recovered today) and 77 deaths; Kulgam has 11169 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 138 Active Positive, 10915 recoveries (including 13 cases recovered today) and 116 deaths while as Shopian has 5565 positive cases (including 02 cases recovered today) with 10 active positive cases, 5497recoveries)and 58 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 52526 positive cases (including 26 cases reported today) with 434 active positive cases, 50955 recoveries (including 19 cases recovered today), 1137 deaths; Udhampur has 11226 positive cases (including 02 cases recovered today), 57 active positive cases, 11037 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today) and 132 deaths; Rajouri has 10787 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 91 active positive, 10474 recoveries (including 11 cases recovered today) and 222 deaths; Doda has 7025 positive cases (including 34 cases reported today) with 245 Active positive, 6659 recovered (including 14 cases recovered today) and 121 deaths; Kathua has 9228 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 14 active positive cases, 9065 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today)and 149 deaths; Samba has 7096 positive cases (including 02 cases recovered today) with 53 active positive cases, 6924 recoveriesand 119 deaths; Kishtwar has 4543 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 88 Active Positive, 4412 recoveries (including 21 cases recovered today) and 43 deaths; Poonch has 6166 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 132 active positive, 5940 recoveries (including 20 cases recovered today) and 94 deaths; Ramban has 5901 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 80 active positive cases, 5756 recoveries (including 16 cases recovered today)and 65 deaths while Reasi has 6160 positive cases (with 16 cases reported today) with 297 active positive cases, 5820recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today) and 43 deaths.

According to the bulletin, among the total 318284 positive cases in J&K, 22673 have been reported as travelers while 295611 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 1955 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 383 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 2923 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 229 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 4878 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 612 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.
