SRINAGAR: Ex MLA Wachi and DDC Member Zainapora II, Aijaz Ahmad Mir today recommended the release Rs 25 Lakhs From his DDC funds “towards improving Covid-19 care facilities in Shopian district.

In a letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner, Shopian Aijaz Mir wrote,

“In view of the fact that Covid-19 is spreading at an alarming rate in Kashmir, I find it utmost important to use DDC council funds in fighting the crisis.”

“Pursuant to allotment of funds under PRI Grants vide referred communication the undersigned hereby pledge an amount of Rs 25.00 Lakhs for Covid-19 mitigation measures by building the health infrastructure in my constituencyso as to provide relief to public of the area.”

“In this connection, I recommend the release of funds for the purchase of necessary items/equipments as listed in Annexure-1 attached.

1. Oxygen Cylinders: 5 Lakh

2. Eco Vans(Ambulances 2 No’s): 10 Lakh

3. Oxygen Concentrator: 1 Lakh

4. Oximeter: 30000

5. Cardiac Monitor (Multi channel): 70000

6. OT Table: 2 Laks

7. OT Light (Dome Double Led): 2 Lakh

8. Beds: 2 Lakh

9. Oxygen Regulator: 30000/

10. Nitrous regulator: 20000/

11. Nitrous Oxide Cylinder: 50000/

12. Masks (N95+ Surgical to be distributed in villages): 1 Lakh

Total Amount: Rs 2500000/”
