Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, senior CPI(M) leader M Y Tarigami said, “Muslims should not be targeted by those at the helm of affairs.
All other religions are managing their religious affairs freely, so why single out Muslims?”

Tarigami urged the government to ensure that the rights of all religious communities are respected equally and highlighted the importance of safeguarding the autonomy of institutions that manage religious assets.
