SRINAGAR: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch, Jammu, on Thursday conducted a raid at Channi Deeli in Jammu in connection with an alleged Rs 3.55 crore fraud case, officials said.
The action follows the registration of a case against a man accused of allegedly cheating a doctor in a property transaction valued at Rs 3.75 crore.
According to officials, an FIR has been registered against Pieary Lal Koul, son of Janki Nath Koul and a resident of Adarsh Vihar, Channi Deeli, Jammu.
He has been booked on allegations of cheating, criminal breach of trust and misappropriation in connection with the property deal.
Officials said further investigation into the case is underway.
