SRINAGAR: The Centre for Research in Schemes and Policies (CRISP) is inviting application for fellowship programme helping young professionals work at high echelons of governance in the social sector.

The organisation collaborates with State and Central Governments to formulate or revamp schemes and policies within the Social Sector.

Its mission is to create a substantial impact through activities such as conducting ‘concurrent evaluations’ of schemes, establishing robust monitoring systems, and formulating policies that address areas including rural and urban development, poverty alleviation, education, health, and institutional development.

The application process is completely online through official website and the deadline to apply is February 5, 2024. Intimation of short listing of top-100 for the second round is February 10, 2024. Group discussion on virtual mode will be on February 13 and 14, 2024, and the Final round (interviews on VC for the top 20) will be on February 20/21/22, 2024. Declaration of result and Offers will be on 25th February 2024. Joining and start of orientation programme will be from April 3, 2024.

Every CRISP fellow will be granted a monthly stipend of Rs. 75,000, which is subject to taxes. A variable pay equivalent to 5% of this amount will be disbursed at the end of the year, based on the evaluation of performance. Furthermore, travel expenses incurred during state field visits will be reimbursed.

The selected fellows should anticipate two-year full time involvement, collaborating on independent projects with the most senior civil servants. During this period, they will receive mentorship and guidance from the CRISP founding members in their work.

The eligibility criteria for the application process includes; applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized educational institution in subjects relevant to policy, including Public Policy, Economics, Development Studies, Business Management, Law, Human Resources, Accounting, etc. Individuals with academic and practical expertise in technology, data management, analysis, and systems design/architecture are also encouraged to apply. Additionally, candidates should have a strong educational record and provide evidence of participation in socially relevant programs or internships during their college years.

Candidates should have up to two years of post-graduation work experience in the social sector, encompassing areas such as education, rural development, health, and gender empowerment, is desirable.

Proficiency in English and one of the following languages like, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, or Hindi is required. Exceptional writing skills for the preparation of Professional and Research Reports are also expected.

The maximum age limit of the interested candidate shall not exceed 30 years.

For the application process, applicants shall enclose a Statement of Purpose stating why they think they are the best fit for the CRISP Fellowship (in about 500 words) and also submit an assignment answering a problem statement that would be displayed in the application form.
