SRINAGAR: Pakistani troops opened unprovoked fire along the Line of Control during the intervening night of May 7 and 8 in several areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said that the shelling targeted Indian positions using small arms and artillery in sectors opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, and Akhnoor.
“The Indian Army responded accordingly to the cross-border firing. There have been no reports of damage or casualties so far,” they said. (JKNS)
