SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said that directions issued by Union Home Minister Amit Shah during a high-level virtual meeting following Operation Sindoor will be implemented in “letter and spirit”.
According to an official spokesperson, the LG issued instructions to officials to act on Shah’s guidelines and neutralise any potential threat in time. Sinha also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and reiterated zero-tolerance towards terrorism.
The virtual meeting came hours after India’s precision strikes on terror infrastructure across the LoC, in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.
Sinha praised the armed forces for destroying terror camps of groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, calling Operation Sindoor a strong message that India will act against terrorism, no matter the location.
The LG also reviewed border security with police and district officials and directed deputy commissioners to relocate residents from vulnerable areas and ensure their welfare.
He said the administration, police, CAPFs and armed forces are working in coordination and are fully prepared to respond to any situation.
