SRINAGAR: A Central Reserve Police Force constable allegedly died by suicide in South Kashmir, on Saturday evening.
Quoting an official, Kashmir Scroll reported that a Constable (Cook) shot himself with his service rifle at Grid Station Pampore in Awantipora, resulting in his on the spot death.
“The body of the constable has been taken to Police Hospital Srinagar for medico-legal formalities. Proceedings under section 174 Cr.PC have been initiated in the matter,” he added.
