SRINAGAR: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel died after collapsing in the Wachi area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday, officials said.
Official sources said that the deceased has been identified as Head Constable Surinder Singh of the 178 Battalion, a resident of Shalibanda in Hyderabad, who was posted at Police Post Wachi.
He was immediately evacuated to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Zainapora for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead, officials added.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (JKNS)
