One CRPF personnel died in an overnight attack by suspected militants in the Bemina area of the city on Wednesday. Police while quoting CRPF said that suspected militants fired upon a bunker in the area during the intervening night of November27 and 28, resulting in the injuries of Praveen Kumar Rajput S/O Maan Singh Rajput. He was shifted to hospital immediately where he succumbed early Wednesday.
Police sources said that Praveen Kumar 21, was a resident of Madhya Pradesh and he was attached with the 73rd battalion of CRPF adding that the area has been cordoned off and the search operations are on to nab the attackers.
