SRINAGAR: A CRPF personnel died after falling unconscious in the Mattan area of South Anantnag district, officials said.
“During the intervening night, a CRPF constable posted in Mattan developed syncope and was taken to PHC Mattan for treatment. However, doctors declared him brought dead. Preliminary investigations suggest he suffered a cardiac arrest,” they said.
The deceased has been identified as Constable Azad Ahmad Najar, son of Gull Mohd Najar, a resident of Sheikhpora, Uttersoo.
Meanwhile, the police have registered a case, and an investigation is underway. (GNS)
