SRINAGAR: FIL Industries Private Limited received the Best Governance in the Super Category award at the Indian Family Business Awards 2023. The event was organised by Moneycontrol in partnership with Waterfield Advisors and PwC India as the process partner.
The awards ceremony, held on December 3 at the Hyatt Regency in New Delhi, was attended by Dr Jitendra Singh (Union Minister of State), Amitabh Kant (India’s G20 Sherpa), and Harivansh Narayan Singh (Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha) as Chief Guests. The award was accepted by S M Tariq Bukhari, Managing Director of FIL Industries.
Speaking at the event, Bukhari said, “This award recognises our commitment to stakeholders, ethical practices, sustainability, and teamwork. It represents a collective achievement for the entire FIL family, and we aim to continue striving for further success. It is a very humbling experience for us to be counted amongst other renowned family businesses in the country.”
Founded in 1989 by the late Syed Mohammad Iqbal Bukhari, FIL Industries has grown under its second and third generations into a diversified business. It provides end-to-end solutions in the agri-consumer value chain, including India’s largest apple integration initiative, advanced post-harvest services, and FMCG products like apple juice concentrate.
FIL also operates CEN-certified ropeway projects and has developed the Skyview by Empyrean project in Patnitop, Jammu & Kashmir. It has acquired the Dehradun-Mussoorie ropeway project and the Yamunotri-Kharsali route in Uttarakhand, further strengthening its position in sustainable mobility and tourism infrastructure.
