SRINAGAR: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel died after a branch of a Chinar tree fell on him in the Sonwar area of the summer capital, Srinagar.
A senior police official stated that CRPF jawan Mahesh Singh of 79 Battalion was critically injured when a branch of the Chinar tree fell on him near Amar club in Sonwar this evening.
He was immediately shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment in critical condition. However, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident. (KS)
