Two youth were injured after being hit by a CRPF vehicle in Nowhatta area of Srinagar on Friday.

One of the youth identified as Mohammad Younis, as per doctors, has polytrauma. “When we received him at SKIMS hospital, he is intubated. We are monitoring his condition but he is very critical,” said an official from the hospital.
While giving details about another injured youth identified as Kaiser Ahmad from Fatehkadal, the official said, he is also critical. “Both the injured youth were received by JLNM hospital, Rainawari.”
The police sources have confirmed the injury to two youth, however, they said they are ascertained the details of how they were injured.
Pertinently hundreds of people held a peaceful protest after the weekly congregational prayers at Jamia Masjid Srinagar.
As the protest was going on, a speedy CRPF vehicle hit two youth who were part of the protest, witnesses said.
Witnesses said that the injured were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
