SRINAGAR: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo received a warm welcome from hundreds of employees upon his arrival at the Srinagar Civil Secretariat, marking his first visit to the office since assuming the post earlier this month.

Atal Dulloo, a 1989 Batch IAS officer, has spent a significant part of his service in J&K. He has previously served as the Administrative Secretary for crucial departments such as Health and Medical Education, Finance, and Agriculture, and has held the position of Deputy Commissioner in various districts of J&K.

Before he was appointed Chief Secretary, he served as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Agriculture Production Department, playing a key role in the formulation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) aimed at transforming the agricultural sector and boosting farmers’ income.

Upon his arrival at the Srinagar Secretariat this afternoon, the Chief Secretary was greeted by a large gathering of employees in the Secretariat premises, who accompanied him to his office chamber.

Subsequently, he conducted a tour of the Secretariat, engaging with employees from various departments. He inquired about their work and the facilities available for the smooth functioning of official tasks.

During his visit, the Chief Secretary was joined by the Commissioner Secretary of Science and Technology, Commissioner Secretary of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Secretary of Youth Services & Sports, Secretary of Tourism and Culture, Director of Estates in Kashmir, and other senior civil and police officers.

The Chief Secretary also attentively listened to the grievances of several delegations and provided on-the-spot instructions for their resolution and prompt disposal.
