SRINAGAR: A joinery mill was among five shops destroyed in a massive overnight blaze in Onangam village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, officials said Wednesday.

An official while confirming said that a fire broke out in a joinery mill at Onagam village at around 11:30 PM  and later spread to four other shops.

“Goods worth lakhs have been destroyed in the incident. Our shops are our livelihood, several persons from poor families earn their livelihood,” the owner of the joinery mail said.

Meanwhile, confirming the incident to KNO, officials said that goods worth lakhs have been destroyed in the incident.

They further added that the cause of fire was immediately not known and further investigation has been taken up.
