Students are expressing unease over the directives instructing them to seek admissions in distant districts, contrary to their local areas. This situation has sparked apprehensions about the potential impact on their educational pursuits.

“The published list of admissions disregards the preferences of candidates. Students are now required to journey to other districts for their admissions,” shared students, who find themselves grappling with heightened levels of anxiety. This decision has also cast a shadow over the efficacy of their exam preparations, which were previously disrupted due to similarly arbitrary measures.

Parents are echoing these concerns and are questioning the rationale behind this directive. “Despite the presence of local colleges, students are being compelled to enroll in remote regions. What purpose does this serve? Given that colleges are accessible within nearly every district and tehsil, why the insistence on burdening students with the necessity to travel to remote locales?” queried a concerned parent.

Interestingly, the proliferation of degree colleges across tehsils and district headquarters is already a widely discussed topic. Hence, the confusion deepens as to why students are being subjected to undue travel hardships.

Both students and parents are making a heartfelt appeal to the LG administration to intervene and address this matter promptly.
